Accessibility Statement

BABI wants boatingindustry.bg to be usable by everyone, including people who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader or enlarge the text.

1. Standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

2. Current status: partially compliant

Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields. Navigation, menus and forms can be operated with a keyboard, and a “Skip to content” link is available. The “Pause animations” button in the footer stops the moving text on all pages and remembers your choice; animations also stop automatically when your operating system is set to reduce motion. Text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio. The site is available in English and Bulgarian, with the correct language set on each page.

3. Known limitations

Some decorative animations and the interactive map may be harder to follow with a screen reader; the list of members next to the map gives the same information as text. Some PDF attachments in older news items are not fully accessible. Form validation messages are shown in the language of your browser. Some image descriptions (alternative text) on the Bulgarian version are still in English.
